LEED Ambition in a Complex Campus Environment
Morgridge Hall, UW-Madison’s newest facility, was planned, designed and built around two core priorities: Constructing a building that can serve the technology, learning and research needs of today and tomorrow, while also focusing on how to make this the most sustainable building on campus – all on an aggressive schedule. Drawing on perspectives from the owner and project team, this session examines how LEED is used to define intent, guide design and construction decisions, and provide third party verification of performance commitments. Self-guided explorations of the space showcases tangible outcomes of those decisions, connecting sustainability goals to the built reality.
